  hi, i'm a singaporean...
  
  any foreign talent in this forum? And what exactly is your talent that your bring here?
  
  just read today's Today papers...hmm sounds like we cant live without foreign talents in the sports scenes. otherwise singapore bo been (aka 'no face'..just in case..oops foreign talents dun unlerstand..aiya prob wun unlerstand waht is 'no face' also)...coz then we always participate but never win anything... coz singapore apparently likes to win.
  
  anyway. today went to east coast beach...walau-eh..this indian man (grown up man) stripped right down to his semi transparent white jockeys underwear and walk ard with his wife and son on the beach... he tinks this is his India river ah? my gosh ! he's probably some IT manager in some firm..
  
  also i think another huge group of foreign talents that sgp attracted are actually the 'fallen talents' in their countries i,e, those that cannot make it.. cant find a job in their countries, cant fight the competition, thinks maybe asia is the place for them coz asian brains smaller and of course, not forgetting those who came for our pea brain SPGs...and i'm not just referring to our underwear IT manager... it's all these angmohs from the nordic (alot these days huh?) and many others lah... cant count liao

  I don't know about the FTs in our local soccer leagues.
  
  But generally, these FTs would work here for some time before going back to their countries to spend the big money they earned here in their homeland. The PRCs, Malaysians, and the Taiwanese are very good examples.
  
  The sad truth is, Singaporeans are generally fussy in choosing their jobs. This one cannot, that one also cannot. But having a job is better than no job.
  
  However, another problem lies with the society also. The cost of living here is high and no job = no pay. No pay = no life; no future. And the competition is super competitive. Additionally, some ugly ungracious Singaporeans would appear every now and then making our lives harder.
  
  Sometimes I think the government has their faults. But don't forget, some Singaporeans are at fault too. It's something in their mentality, which I can't figure out what it is.
  
  Then again, I'm kinda fed up about the government giving scholarship opportunities to foreigners instead. Talking about protecting and loving Singapore during national day... all loads of bull crap!

  If its those caucasian woman foreign talent who does the same which are pretty much common in their country I doubt you'll have the responses and reaction....

  i hv met real talents in some foreigners in my career...no doubt but they're the minority.
  
  the hundreds of thousands or maybe millions we pour to our PRC sports people just to get our own citizens interested in the sport... hmm questionable 'bright' idea from some folks in the sports arena.. for one, i used to support singapore soccer team all the way to msia cup final... WHICH WE WON!!!... but these days, mention s-league...and u'll see a big 'DUH-HUH?!' look on most people's faces...
  
  also i wun want my kids to aspire to be one of the PRC reps for sgp...they come for self glory and money.. c'mon we're not kids...anyone can recite the pledge in from of a million dollars!
  
  worse.. i heard we have PRC-born in SAF now... gosh...are we turning to PRC army? maybe tmr we got PRC in police also, PRC already in the earth's oldest profession...PRC as teachers, PRC as masseurs, PRC as hawkers, PRC as con artists... and of course not forgetting the many PRC-related gruesome murders in recent history. GOD Bless our country...then came along JER...our most 'friendly' neighbours...whom our ministers just visited during hari... now they are telling they people to exterminate us... what good such neighbours.

  ARe you refering to those foreign talents who came Sg to invest or become top management of a companies

  those foreign worker who work in construction site or doing other work which Singaporean wun want to work in ?
  
  Anyway Govt already say Sg need more foreign talents is because singaporean is given birth to lesser children compare to the older generation, which might eventually lead to lesser working population in future as Singaporean get old.
  
  Anyway Sg is always a country which anyone with money or good qualification can get in.
  
  So you guys should not be so agressive to FT, rather should try to give birth more ~ haha

  Well, the solution's quite simple then. You've got to go show all of those employers and SPGs the error of their ways.
