I agree that shaw's website is horrible....making people register before letting them look at the movie listing is a no-brainer...in fact...making people register is even more dumb.

We thank you for the many years of support and patience you have given to our current online website - www.shaw.com.sg.
The present site unfortunately has been unable to handle all of your needs, and through all your valuable feedback we have been working hard on a brand new ticketing system. It's also written from scratch which is one of the reasons why it took so long.
The new website is almost ready and we will be shutting down the present website soon to do the change over. Please bear with us till it's ready in November 2006.
Registration is no longer necessary to buy tickets or to check schedules. Your current account, e.g. email address and any personal details will be destroyed when we move to the new website. No one will have access to these information.
We will introduce a FREE new membership early next year with wonderful features and benefits for our customers like you.
We were the first to feature online seat selection back in 2000 and will continue to innovate further. We do have many exciting new things for our customers over the next 6-8 months. With your feedbacks, we will continue to strive to make your movie experience even better!

Yeah, thats why I only bother to book at Cathay and Golden Village. Indeed, Shaw's website looked like it's done 10 years ago and left as that.

yea, as a freelance webpage designer, the website is poorly done especially when its done in Frames
no keywords.. i dun expect the google bots to really even hang around much.. with a name like 'shaw' i would have expected a better website at the very least, maybe they kena conn by whoever designed the website.. practically an amateur work!

I've discovered the perpetrators of this horrible act.
They are http://www.scs.com.sg/. They call themselves Singapore Computer Systems. They have a snazzy website and project a veneer of respectability but we all know what they are capable of!!!

Rather than forcing you to visit that...thing i've decided to risk persecution by copying the relevant parts:Q17. Who is responsible for building your website?
Anyway, the fact that this is on their FAQs show that I am not the only one wondering who is responsible that that thing!
