Refuse to accept birthday gifts

Do u hav friends who simply refuse to accept ur gifts even though its their birthday? Reasons? Gift too expensive to accept?

i refuse to accept birthday gifts below 100 bucks.

i only accept gifts outside my birthdate.

if i like the person...no matter how much the gift i will give...
if its good friends...den i dont mind getting expensive present...
cause friends ma...
but if i dont like that person...the present will be less than $15...

Yes, I have one friend, he is real special.
He is smart and very direct and blunt, and have unusual way of thinking.
He does not celebrate anything, including new years or birthdays.
Once I gave him a few books, he accepted but only reluctantly. Then he treated me dinner to 'make even'. -
I always tell my friends not to give me anything during my birthday coz whatever they give me are not things that I want and it's just wastage anyway, and I'd probably just chuckle and then chuck away in my drawer.
