I think elitism theory is embedded into every creature in this world... Not just in Singapore... In the animal kindom survival of the fittest.... no matter where those fit will survive... those weak will die.... but still we are social communal creatures... so we take care of our weak... that makes us human different from animals.... what do you think....

There are some cases of that... Though I would have contribute that to their less developed brains compared to ours for now.. Those living as a herd holds simple plans to protect each other from outside threats and dangers... Like giving warnings or such... If we wish to talk on the contrast, under the brutality between same species of animals.. I think HUMANS CAN easily manifest the SAME... -
Agree there are some animals whom like example gorilla... would chase away their own sons to be the alpha male... rather interesting sight..
