why jewelry shop always like to give out flyers?

those jewelry shops like SK or taka jewelry or poh heng etc....esp. those at neighbourhood town centres...they will have one or two SA stand outside the shop, den they will take flyers n like give to everyone walking past... give to girls n guys also... (maybe they want us guys to buy from gf or wife?)
