Dishonest sales people

Looking at renting an apt and saw this apt which was not bad. Property agent initially quoted $3.3k, but after viewing the place, she said it is $3.5-3.8k neg. then i asked her why the increase, she said cos there is another offer to the landlord at $3.5k, but we can still try offering at $3.3k, may still get it.
Harlow? if the landlord really have an offer in hand of $3.5k, would he even consider $3.3k?

i may like the person who is offering 3.3k and takes care of the place than the one offering 3.5k tt looks like a toad and probably turn my house into gambling den

i saw a guy hard selling choppers.
i was impressed with his BS until he said, "this knife is on promotion. it is retailed at $40 but now we are offering at only $10. BUT YOU CAN ONLY BUY ONE SET!!!"

sales guy got a part rejected by a customer
sales guy bring in the QA hoping to ease the situation and get the customer to accept
QA not scheming like sales go by specification and the specification indeed spec out that the part is not acceptable
QA spell out
slaes see situation noot good bring in more ppl to help call part supplier
part supplier say the discrepant is inevitable
sales say can be done to customer but must increase cost
QA resign...whadd f uck this kind of comppany working policy not for me man
guy go interview QA position with the factory manage
QA guy request plant tour rejected by fatory manager
QA then test factory manager how he/ his workers can help the QA with the customer when negative feedback on the products are received by asking fatory manager a question
'when u find cracks in your products detectable under magnified vision aid but is still not acceptable as per customer requirements stated in blk and white, what will u do?'
factory manager says 'oh like that inevitable 1 lah somemore this will not happen since the material use very hard'
QA guy thinks 'OMG if i work for this company i bet the prod staff will say the same as the previous prod staff i used to work with like that how to improve product quality and satisfy customers?'
can tell u all lah not only sales ppl, everyone in this world tell lies if not white lies and not honest...if u want to be a 100% saint prepare to be out of a job forever man...and not everyone can be out of a job okay, even a guy earning 10k per month cannot afford to be out of a job for 1 month...think -

each time i asked the price.. it gets more expensive
at first it was 199
den it became 218 free delivery
den it became 219 +20 for delivery
all in 30 min
in the end... we went n bought our tv at best denki... @ 279 -

Pretty old trick. He probably doesn't have another offer, just wanna jack up the price and make you panic that you might lose it to another person.

Sim Lim is a place there are lots of dishonest sales ppl coz I used to work in Sim Lim selling laptops and i do admit that sometimes i do use unethical sales tactics . Selling of display sets and selling of stuff that comes with the laptops is a common tactic
but we do come across dishonest customers. got once a big group of customers(tourists) came in and wanted a laptop. my fren serving them but i was around talking to other customer. After they choose laptop liao, my fren bring out n put in bag then they bombard my fren with questions. My fren distracted and forgot to ask for payment. then they all went out. After a while, she realise that they didnt pay then bo bian have to tell boss. my boss dont noe how managed to locate them to some hotel where they agrue over it. they still dont wan pay so my boss make police report and end up in small claim court turn out that they are some sort of big VIP. the police keep persuading my boss dont press charges for tourism sake 
. in the end still get back $$$ -

Frankly speaking, agent also tried to help owner to markup the rental fee, is like win-win situation to her.. owner happy, she get her commission more.. why not?
But stand by your side, I of course wish to rent the place as low as possible la.. -

ya, i fully understand that perspective. but if want to increase the price, give me better excuse lah.. wat tell me a higher quote than 1 day earlier, and when i asked why, say there is a higher offer, and still tell me my lower offer may still succeed.
