I seriously wonder as well. If they were to clean up such abuse, it will win ebay.sg much more.Originally posted by Gordonator:i don't understand why the admin there don't take any action? this is an abuse.![]()
I know about the listing charges charged by Yahoo! Auction in other countries, as well of those imposed by ebay.com.Originally posted by davidche:Well do you know that yahoo auctions in other countries are not free. Which means that every seller has to pay $$(for example 1%) of the final price.
the reason yahoo auctions isnt charging money is beacuse it isnt popular enough to do so. If it charges, nobody would want to post a auction anymore.
This is the same reason for why there isnt a rule preventing abuse, or wad they call as keyword spam. you know rules are what people dont like.
Another thing is that, auctions in other countries, Taiwan for example, doesnt even have such a rule but yet, there is no keyword spam. This tells us the difference in ethics yea?
eBay is slowly taking action against such issues already. My friend is a PowerSeller on eBay and he somehow was notified about the actions.Originally posted by spinsugar:It's common on ebay too. I doubt Yahoo Aucts can/will pay much attention to this sort of abuse. It's irritating, but not a major issue.
I'm thinking of writing it into their "Support Team" but I'm unsure if they'll take any actions as well.Originally posted by FireIce:got notice to say cannot have keyword spam liao mah
but ppl dun bother one lah
u can report but i think no one relli bother oso
ebay has a humongous database, and a solid rep. It earns big bucks from sellers who pay a premium to put stuff up for sale.. buyers tend to be more willing to pay a premium price for items on ebay, too. So both buyers and sellers would have higher expectations of ebay.. therefore it makes sense for the company to pander to those needs...Originally posted by photo_seeker:eBay is slowly taking action against such issues already. Yahoo aucts, on the other hand, is FOC to both sellers and buyers, and its database is smaller.. it seems to operate on a much more casual level. It's hard to expect yahoo aucts to do the same. I dun think they'd commit the resources unless they're convinced it significantly affects their operations / profits.
