Before applying for FDW...have to study course one...SP offers the half day course...18 bucks....or U take the online course...30 bucks...after U completed the course...U print out the certificate of attendance yourself and can go to a maid agency to choose ur FDW....ur printed certificate will have to go together with ur maid application to MOM for consideration.
note that there is a 5000 bucks bond to the govt for ur FDW and U are responsible for the FDW's return air-ticket.
U need to bring in the FDW earlier to teach her how to do her work before the baby arrives...let her settle into the family...etc...
All in all...there is a higher level of responsibility in hiring a FDW although the monthly payment might be a little lower...
