Want to work in Singapore, but do not know how?

Hi Everyone
I want to travel and work in Singapore for a few months, but do not know how? Could you give any advice? I hold 2 passports with Australian and Vietnamese .... been working in Australia for a few yrs...now want to go back to work in Asia... -
Are you like other foreigners who buys passports from other foreigners once you make big money in countries with bigger currency?
I know some foreigners did that. That's illegal. -

Came here as in't Student on skill migration program..living in Australia for 6yrs so got the citizenship here, but do not want to give up my origion and Australia gov allows to have both -
i know there are 'work and travel' program in USA and australia...not in singapore...

I can go to Europe and America easily, but I like to go to South East Asia, I have been so many time in Singapore & Malaysia , know streets well too, so I want to work there and be around in Asia, but Singapore does not have this program, so not sure how I can work there... -

I feel sorry for those who are narrow minded in such a global time, perhaps they have been dealing crimes a lot in their life , so got obsessions. But I forgive you all.
I have nothing to do with them, except my desire to travel and have a bit working experience there because I always have good experinece with Sing friends at work and social life. They have brought me a good impression about yr country.

Simply to said.... do you have any expertise? Are you really talented in Somthing? For example are you a known doctor or what so ever?
If not the above.... then are you willing to build roads and construction site? If not.... frankly its hard here in SG.... -

Yes, just have genuine desire to travel and work and I often do that. We do have working holidays in Australia, Europe and America, I had done in the past with 2 months in US and 1 mth in Canada. It was fun. Then I stoped in Australia for residence and work here. This time I want to make a trip back to Asia and so stop by Singapore if I can work while travelling. Then final stop will be Ho Chi Ming City to visit my parents.
Working and travelling is a great learning experience and we can imrpove ourselves a lot...Any temporary job like admin or fieldwork (research) for a short time is fine because the main purpose is yr travelling experience. and meeting people of all different cultures..This experience can contribute to yr main career later on.
Unfortunately, we dont have such a short holiday working visa in Singapore while both countries belong to ASEAN.
By the way, I am not a Male. -

U can visit the ContactSingapore website (the same link Xcert provided) for info abt types of visas and application procedures :
"To work in Singapore, employers need to ensure that their foreign employees are issued with a valid employment pass from the Ministry of Manpower. A local sponsor, the employer in most cases, is required to apply for the employment pass for professionals, administrators, executives, and managerial staff."
As for job hunting, you could start searching @ companies like Citibank, Microsoft, IBM, Sun Microsystems (Sun's HQ is in Singapore), etc..

I think you can come as a tourist and then once you have a job you can apply for employment pass. Perhaps you can start sending out resumes in Australia to save time and money in Singapore.

Why Singapore, because I can speak a few Chinese dialects...(but not writing) I have been there so many times... especially like shopping because there are a lot stuff for women which fit my size, Australia clothing is not suitable, too boring with colors, too large, hard to find my size (8-10). They have entertainment for Asians and it is not extreme...I dont feel strange there, easy to make friends although minority may have discrimination against VNmese (but I dont care because it is their problem) whatever people say, I find Singapore a friendly and welcoming city ...
Also, can visit Malaysia for holidays in beaches and especially can visit my parents nearby, only 2hrs, I will be in HCM city.
I think working there while travelling will be great fun, earn money then shopping, then go home to visit the family...heheehh!!! -
