how to get rid of lizards?

Lizard is scary..My whole family afraid of them.We didn't catch it with our bare hands or using plastic bags.We would use bygon to chase them away.So scary..

I live at the 11th floor, any problem with that?
I took a IKEA promotion booklet and slammed a lizard to pieces on my kitchen floor.
When my father came back, I told him, "Clean that idiot up."

My sister once had a very strong sticker, and she pasted it on the window, and it was left there for a few years. Then there was one day, I finally decided to pull it out, but it was really hard to because it was very sticky by then. A few days later, a lizard got stuck on my window, and eventually died. remind me of an incident in the bus where i noticed a lizard on the seat opposite mine. it was lying still n suddenly one young lady unknowingly sat on it. those who saw it were

Anyone got saw before a "pregnant" lizard?
Once at East Coast, I saw 1 lizard stuck at the pillar of a pavilion, and it was having a big stomach. My friend said it was "pregnant", but no idea if its true anot...but no matter how we scare the lizard, it won't move one, so dunno if its dead or what... -
how to even smack them when they are in hiding most of the time? they run too fast before i can pick up anything to smack them. somemore they crawl on ceilings and walls out of reach which is hard to reach.
i think the lemongrass suggestion is worth trying. cheap somemore~

haha...lizards are fine..although they are kinda nuisance...but cockroaches!!!!!!Cockroaches are so unforgivable!!!!!though they have not really done things like lizards do(e.g. sh*t on kettles,walls..bla x3), but their looks are simply so irriating...I just hate them, i am afraid of them..especially those that can fly de...bloody hell..

This is a true story that happened in Japan.
In order to renovate the house, someone in Japan tears open the wall.
Japanese houses normally have a hollow space between the wooden walls.
When tearing down the walls, he found that there was a lizard stuck there
because a nail from outside hammered into one of its feet. He sees this,
feels pity, and at the same time curious, as when he checked the nail, it
was nailed 10 years ago when the house was first built.
What happened? The lizard has survived in such position for 10 years! In a
dark wall partition for 10 years without moving, it is impossible and mind
boggling.
Then he wondered how this lizard survived for 10 years without moving a
single step--since its foot was nailed!
So he stopped his work and observed the lizard, what it has been doing, and
what and how it has been eating. Later, not knowing from where it came,
appears another lizard, with food in its mouth.
Ahh! He was stunned and touched deeply. For the lizard that was stuck by
nail, another lizard has been feeding it for the past 10 years...
Such love, such a beautiful love! Such love happened even with this tiny
creature ... What can love do? It can do wonders! Love can do miracles!
Imagine? it has been doing that untiringly for 10 long years, without giving
up hope on its partner.
Imagine what a small creature can do that a creature blessed with a
