VivoCity 7-Eleven Not Open 24 Hrs..

Eric Cheong was confused by the operating hours policy of 7-Eleven stores in Singapore. He is not the only one, judging by the response of shoppers that he had observed at VivoCity on 11 Nov. The VivoCity outlet had shut its doors by 10pm, according to Mr Cheong, drawing "lots of surprise, amusement and even some anger when some shoppers tried to enter the store and were greeted by a closed glass door instead." Mr Cheong observed the situation for ten minutes, and said that almost 20 shoppers were left disappointed. Many were left puzzled as they had thought 7-Eleven stores operated round the clock.
UPDATE:
7-Eleven has responded regarding the opening hours of its outlets, including the VivoCity branch.
"Currently, the outlet at VivoCity is open between 9am to 10pm daily due to some building restrictions. However, we are still reviewing with the
management of VivoCity on the extension of the operating hours.
We would sincerely appreciate the kind understanding and patience of our
customers in this regard.
As for 7-Eleven's policy on our operating hours, most of our outlets do
operate on a 24-hour basis. However, outlets that are within commercial
buildings or public places with limited or no access after certain hours,
operate between 7am to 11pm daily. These include locations in Citilink Mall,
SMU, Biopolis, MRT Stations, for example."

call 7-11 does not mean it must be 24hrs.......
NUH one oso not 24hrs wat......
depending on where the 7-11 is located......some buildings have to close by 11pm ot 12am one........if the store is in the building then have to abide the building management policy
the person taking the pic and kicking a fuss is ignorant and has no common sense.............. -

but hor...most of the time, when talking about 24hr, i think of 7-11 -
but then again those that are not 24 hrs usually cannot reach it (inside shopping mall which is closed after 10pm, in underpass which is closed at night etc.).
but the vivocity one the complaint sae is a lot of customers go to the 7-11 but then is close. after 10 pm. so means its closed when pple can still reach it.. the response from 7-11 also sae that is vivocity fault dun let them stay open? stupid vivocity. -

In the 1st place, the name 7-11 came because it opened bet 7am - 11pm orginally

The cheers at Harbourfront next door also opened until 10pm. But i dont see what hooha over the opening of these malls. There's nothing much in the vicinity to sustain it 24 hours anyway.

the best thing is, that 7-eleven is situated right next to the cinema... where they also show late night screenings. Kock sia

That time i was at Turf city and wanted to get some drinks. but the 7-11 also close. maybe it depends on the crowd la. IF no crowd why pay extra labour. might as well close shop.

If the 7-11 branch is located within a shopping centre, and that shopping centre closes its doors at 2230hrs everyday, the 7-11 operate 24hrs kum lan? For ghosts arh?
