I have several cigarettes cartons. How?

  I have 4 cartons of cigarettes. Not sure if the term is correct, carton. It is like a long one and inside there should be the cigarettes packages.
  
  I do not smoke, these are meant as a gift but the trip did not materialize.
  
  Now what should I do with these cigarettes?
  
  If I want to sell them online, is it against the law?

  Each carton has 400 sticks, 4 cartons would make 1600 sticks. That is alot.

  It is written 120/12. King size. It is a long box which look like it contains the cigarettes packages.
  
  So does that mean it has 120 sticks?
