is this a confession??Originally posted by kawasaki2:I don't give a sh1t about their copyright laws. Just think, if it's illegal to compile songs on to mp3 players, then what's the use of all the big companies making mp3 players and keep on getting consumers to purchase it. The only thing they have achieved with these copyright laws is they have successfully tried to instill a sense of fear, paranoia and confusion among users.
I've downloaded so many mp3s from ordinary internet websites and nothing happens to me, I never use P2P file-sharing networks at all. I burn most of my songs onto CDs, CD-Rs too. They don't know what you do with the songs you download anyway, provided you use those popular p2p file-sharing networks which are more obvious in nature.
If you download, upload, copy on a server, save on your drive, burn on a CDR, compile on your MP3 player, or distribute any music file without the consent of the copyright owner, you are guilty of copyright infringement.
LOL, as if they know every single person who has done it.It's illegal to compile on a mp3 player!? Only a bunch of idiots would write such a rule.
How many people here have mp3s stored on the devices mentioned here?
The face of the earth is being turned into one big giant prison.
LOL they (the RIAS employees and the police) are better off chasing chickens in the farmyard.Originally posted by zanza:Actually from a tracking standpoint it is relatively easy , from the server or ip side. They have certain programs that can track certain behaviors ie, common ports the p2p programs use or a constant steam or kbps from a single source etc etc.
Only thing is that its just not possible to catch them all. Singapore prisons will be overflowing , young and old will be all caught... the courts will be filled to bursting with just this kind of cases.
Therefore they are just catching a few here a few there and smack them with heavy penalties in order to deter the rest from downloading.![]()

Apple's slogan for its Ipod is rip, mix and burn?
We should ask .. rip what?![]()
So what many times can you burn?Originally posted by SexyChin:Original CDs I suppose.
Then what you expect?
Rip from the air?
Suppose that you are burning for your own personal use and not to distribute around, you can do it as many times as you want.Originally posted by Icemoon:So what many times can you burn?
Like Song A can be burned to how many CDs?
not sure.Originally posted by SexyChin:Suppose that you are burning for your own personal use and not to distribute around, you can do it as many times as you want.

a song can only be pit into 3 different media/devices at any one time. That's legal, but who gives a damn, just burn into how many cd or store it into how many devices you want. You buy from itunes can onli play on ipod and that can put into 1 ipod onli. You get from those p2p you want to put anywhere also can.Originally posted by Icemoon:So what many times can you burn?
