dvd player or tape recorder

my tape recorder just spolit, sdld i ask technicien to repair it or buy dvd player...it is jus for recording purpose onli..how? or does any1 noe any gd and cheap video repair technician to repair or install recorder?

now one recorder not very ex and very useful too.

at home i'm the handyman almost everything. pipes, taps, drill hole(no mischief!), lighting, light bulb new coat of paint
i got a toolbox full of wrench, allen key, all those worhtless stuff...
let ur child play computer games, piano........... lah or anything useful than sweating over a choked toilet bowl
engage a repairmen to do the rough work... 3 hundreds give him loh
