Of course lar! Then how you think they earn money? Robbing the bank?Originally posted by viopurp:Yea.
I didn't know it's a recruit company until today, when the person actually explained to us.
Haha. I thought the person was just being nice when he offered us the job.
So...they earn commissions by taking some money off the original pay, is it?
Yah. Regret not doing so.Originally posted by huiz:hmm..might as well reject the job through TBC and just walk-in for a interview at pastamania?![]()
go there see how loh..walk 1 step see 1 step loh..Originally posted by viopurp:Yah. Regret not doing so.
But TBC has already arranged an interview with Pastamania for my friend and I.
We went and the person made a note on the application forms, indicating that we are hired through TBC.
But yea, now it's the pay problem lah.
Some people are paid $5 or $5.50 per hour.
Is there any way to "salvage" the situation?
If not, then too bad, I guess.
Oh well.
then i guess it is too late to do anything. take it as a lesson learnt.Originally posted by viopurp:Yah. Regret not doing so.

i have this crazy idea.
is it possible to "negotiate" with the outlet manager?
Nah. They want us to commit for six months.Originally posted by photo_seeker:If you're working less than 1 month, you won't see differences cause for Temp Position, they'll earn $1/hr you've worked for the whole month.
yah! great minds think alike!Originally posted by huiz:then i guess it is too late to do anything. take it as a lesson learnt.
but then you gave me this evil idea of applying for a job. next time got an employment agency offering you a job, ask the pay and company plus its location. dont take up the job through the agent but neither do you reject it first(say you consider first). go directly to the company apply for it saying you heard of the job from a friend. if successful you get to earn the pay without the agent earning a share of it.
sorry to job agents out there...![]()
i can confirm with u that its not $5.50 / hrOriginally posted by viopurp:I applied the job through TBC.
Some told me that the pay is initially $5.50 per hour.
But I heard that it's because I applied the job through TBC, that's why they are paying me $4.50 per hour.
So yea, just wanna know how's the original pay like.
Cool.Originally posted by mamamamama:i can confirm with u that its not $5.50 / hr
