which saloon to go for japanese hairstyles

hi,
does anyone have any recommendations on which saloons to go if i want my hair to be done in the jap kind of direction (for female) ? i just want a cut, going for those hairstyles whereby after u style the effect is that it's kind of messy n layered, with thinner ends at the bottom..
got budget also (below $50), i'm jus a poor student

i go to this place called Stage kinda across the road from bukit merah mrt. i am a guy so i can't really say first-hand for girls, but they cut my hair really diligently and professionally, and i see them do some very nice modern styles for ladies while i was there, so you can check it out. should be relatively cheap for the standard too (but i'm only familiar with guys' prices, not the girls')

Matsuo himself charges by the hundreds and you need to book in advance.. if you want the style at a low budget this would be it...

btw one of my frens got her hair cut at icon at wisma and ended up with a bad experience cos she said ivy who's cutting her hair spent only a few mins cutting her hair and when this guy customer came she went to cut his already very short hair for a very long time... -
