highlighting of hair twice

Currently I'm using the Gatsby hair dye. After the first try two days back, the colour, which is supposed to be dark brown, isn't very obvious on my hair. So I have decided to try another time with a lighter brown. May I know if this will really damage my hair badly?

unless you're using bleach to lighten your hair's shade, and using bleach may be very damaging to your hair

and the chemicals on the hair dye's damaging level on each person's hair may differ

so this shows my already coloured hair cannot "eat" colour well, and there's instruction of the hair dye packaging box mentioning that it may not work well on already coloured hair using the same brand I think if didn't remember wrongly -
Aiyoh! Like this how sia? Cause the brown on my hair really isn't very obvious. Spoil the point of highlighting already when I'm the only one who can see it =/

maybe you can try.. but i somehow feel your hair quality is around the same as mine (which is quite difficult to absorb colours, I remember many years ago I buy blonde colour hair dye to dye my virgin hairOriginally posted by coldzero:Aiyoh! if want 100% success, you can buy hair bleach powder and 9% or 12% cream developer, but beware of timing cause the longer you let the paste stay on your hair, the lighter it's going to become ( can become bee hoon colour if leave too long and may be very damaging to your hair)
but i don't think hair bleach powder can be found and bought easily nowadays
the last hair bleach powder I used on my hair is WELLA brand's
I somehow couldn't find it in the major chain supermarkets now -
Well.. My hair did manage to absorb the brown. Just that the colour itself isn't very obvious from a certain distance. That's why I feel like dying it even lighter so that it could be seen from a distance.

and you talked about highlighting hair, and say dye hair? it's a big difference.
my hair just feels rougher but each time i use conditioner, can advert on TV. smooth like papaya skin -
Yeah bleaching of hair very damaging
tired it last year, then whole hair damn dry. -
hm got another way to try also.. before applying colour dye paste on your hair, make sure to wash your hair clean, let it dry then start to apply the hair dye paste on your hairOriginally posted by coldzero:No $$$

anyway when apply paste try not to let the chemical paste touch your scalp
and make sure your timing do not exceed the appropriate time as instructed on the packaging box -

why wash hair clean first? that menu say don't need leh

aluminium foil can heat and make the colour sort of absorb by hair more or make it even blonde if bleaching if I'm not wrong
