as long as u all dun smoke around us, we really dun care wat u're doing to ur own health. it's just a nuisance to have all the choking smokes hanging around.Originally posted by NUS_Superst@r:So many ppl hate smokers, why?![]()
I never say my friends avoid me becos I smoke. In fact, my non-smoking friends are okay with us smoking beside them, not like you wimps.Originally posted by Agenda:you said that its stupid people who purposely go near smokers, so are you implying that non-smokers should avoid smokers? if such a scenario occurred, wouldn't you come here whining and crying about how your friends avoided you because you smoke? awww
someone call the Whhhaaammm-bulance

they are something we cannot do without or would face many problems without, but smoking? its something that we can without!! if you still want to complain about how the 2nd hand smoke and smoking do not cause health problems, you're just making yourself look from stupid to retard![]()
Do u agree that there is a discrimination against those who cannot get into NUS by somebody?Originally posted by NUS_Superst@r:I just want to create a world of unity between smokers n non-smokers. If that's not possible, force them to join us.

There is no concrete evidence to prove all these. That is why the warning label is always "may cause" and not will cause.

I think there are too MANY discrimination, not only against smokers. The discrimination/prejudice card can turn pple against one another. But look on the brighter side... 'world peace'.Originally posted by NUS_Superst@r:So many ppl hate smokers, why?![]()
Age 15 is too young to judge a person. What they lacking in, they are more advantage in social experience. Don't judge a book by its cover.Originally posted by Agenda:then i can do a NUS_Superst@r by stupidly and blindly rejecting the researches!

Originally posted by drumstick:1. Wrong. Smoking is not like any other recreational activity. If you want to kill youself, go ahead. But i'm not going allow myself to get killed by your smoke for your recreation. You want to smoke, make sure i dont smell it.
Smoking is a form of habit. Its just one way of how certain people choose it.
Is just like playing computer games, watching a movie or eating food which you want. It is actually becuse they think of it, they want it, they do it.
For those who discriminate smokers saying that second hand smoke kills people more, than they should say that to companies which manufacture petrol or desiel engine vehicles. Or even factories prodcing plastics or by-products. Or even public buses. A 1 hour journey on 1 SBS bus is equal to 5000 sticks of ciggies burnt. So which is worst?
Now there is a ban on smoking at coffeshops unless on selected tables. Those tables are designated for the smokers already, but always I see non-smoker are there. Even when there is still empty tables inside the coffeshop. All because they want to sit outside. But the rules for designated tables is that it must be situated on the outside. Maybe they should start fining those non-smoker who do so.
In Singapore, the gahment says smoking bad for health, quite smoking, increase prices to make it unaffordable to those non-working kids. Its actually a scheme saying good things to people yet at the back earning high profits from tax. They kept on increasing the price, just imagane 10 yrs down the road, when the number of smokers is reduced by 75%, where will the gahment get their additonal tax income from? They will start increasing more GST tax or even introduce more taxable items like food tax, garment tax, electronic tax. As of now only 4 types of things have import tariff tax which is automobiles, Ciggies, fuel and liquor on top of that there is GST.
