any good suggestions on mp3 players?

read from some forums that iriver clix 4gb seems quite good
another one is samsung yp-t9 also quite good...
prefers those that comes with FM -

if compared to iriver, i dun think ipod sound quality is any better... in terms of sound quality, i rate iaudio and iriver as the top2

I just got Creative Zen V Plus 4GB a month ago.
Pretty satisfied with it.
You can also try out Sony's MP3 Walkman... it comes in 6GB and 20GB versions. I've tested it out - the sound quality's excellent, but it doesn't have FM function and it can't play videos or photos.
But if you're solely playing MP3s, then I would say that it's a good bet. -

a lot of people with creative MP3 players have thrown them away in disgust
they keep breaking down..

One week after I bought it, the dumb player jammed. Since I couldn't switch it off, reset it, or even remove the battery, I had to run the battery down to death.
I had to take it down to the service center where they upgraded the software. Been working fine ever since.
I guess I'm one of the luckier ones... my previous Creative player (Muvo V200) didn't break down at all in the two years I had it.
In any case, I would recommend going for Sony if Creative isn't your suit. -

Oh well... I guess sound quality is just one criteria. I don't really know much about the other stuff.

oh yah.. if you have an iMac, or an Apple, no contest.. the iPod is the way to go...
avoid the Microsoft one.. they are installing some kind of intellectual property thing which may end up not allowing you to play songs or something.. -
