Oh Gosh, I just came back from Gentings 2 weeks on a Grassland Bus...
They publicize themselves as "quick, safe and comfortable". which I agree, cos on my way back, the young chinese guy driver was driving very carefully, very slowly down from the Highlands. I happily closed my eyes and rest.
Almost at foot of the hill, I heard him receiving a call from his superior that he was too slow and he must speed up in order to rush back to Singapore by XX hours. He explained to his boss that he wanted to make sure that the bus goes down the slopes of Genting safely and it is important, but yet he was rebuked by his Superior.
I empathy with him and I praised him for his professional and thoughtfulness for our safety despite of the call. The roads are very steep, one wrong move will land us down the cliffs. Yet I do not understand why his boss "scolded" him for such good attitudes. Did the company never considered the passengers' safety at all ?
I reached home, safe and sound, and happy... (I dun mind it is later).
I applauded to the Chinese Driver. He has kept his principles and his professional as an excellent safe bus driver.
We knew that we were in safe hands.
On the other hand, if the Management pushed their drivers to go over their limits, the speed limits, and still advertising "Fast and Safe", I suggest that they should re-consider their directions and priorities.
Actually I had a bad feeling since then that something like this will definitely soon to be happened if they does this all the times. Rush Driver Rush..!
I have just lost faith in Grassland now..
