Is it necessary to spray wash the corridors of hdb flats?

our tap water goes through several filtering processes whereas the water they use are not very well-filtered. -

Yeah man.. And the Gahmen tells us to save water and gives those tiny plastic stuff to put in the taps.
Kinda ironic I think. All that regular washing can waste a lot of water.
They can cut down the water by more then 3/4 if they use water and a broom instead. Dirt is removed with the force of water gushing out in the current method.. But that uses a lot of water. Y not just use water to losen up the dirt and broom the floor? Yes its more work. But i believe in spending more money rather then spending/wasting more water.

But washing and maintenance is good bah. I went Colombo and saw their version of HDB (designed based on SG's models) and it was terrible. Only built for a couple of years and looked more run down than my 25 year old block. The staircases are extremely filthy. And cowdungs all over the void deck coz the people there rear cows at the playground.
