  Blackout during EU Energy Meet
  
  Brussels: A European Union energy MinistersÂ’ meeting plunged into darkness and a power worker was killed when an electrical short circuit caused blackouts in parts of Brussels on Thursday, officials said.
  
  After initially halting talks, the ministers decided to resume in the darkness, debating proposals for the 25-nations bloc to cut its use of electricity and fuel. Power returned soon after the debate was resumed.
  
  A spokesman for electricity networks operator Sibelga said the power worker who was killed had been hit by a short circuit in a high-voltage transformer and died on the way to hospital.
