  seriously u cannot put all ur money tat ur kids will take care of u as we heard of kids who abandon their aged n sick parents... woman might die earlier than u so might as well save the money then check urself into old folks home n enjoy the times there...

  guess i will only start a family at around 50 k and my other partner 50K also
  add up to 100k
  
  and she must be someone who can really save money ..
  cannot be those keep go out chiong and buy expensive stuffs de .. =.=

  Will not settle down until me and the SO have a combined income of at least 12k-15k.

  Relax Dude you are still young can take up a few night time job then earn more then can start a family...Seriously a lot of people start a family using banks money...So bro just cool..Chill..And wait for the money to come .

  Haha...nowadays still got this sort of thinking oh.... no wonder singapore guys are looking overseas for foreign brides....Guys and gals controll their own finances (how can guys let gals control his money? ) Then open a joint account for Shared expenses (HBD loan, utilities, household expenses)
  
  Best is that both parties contribute on a equal 50 - 50 basis.
  
  I believe need around 50k to even start THINKING about marriage. that means 100k combined. the burden should fall equally, not just on the guy alone.
