can check home address of a person through IP Address??

Hi, I am new here.
I recently encounter a stalker who claims he can know my location home add through my IP address. Is it really possible to do that? I know this guy through a mutual friend of ours, and he has been MSN'ing quite frequently. Only 2 days ago did he claim that he can do that.
So can anyone tell me if this is true? -

trnsfer sth wid that person, then u go start, run, type cmd, then click ok, type netstat, then u will seee alot of addresses -

its not possible
the most he can only trace it back to your ISP exchange centre, this is the max
which i think most likely is queenstown exchange, unless ur hosting ur own connection
maybe u can start by playing some trace route softwares, for example u type in www.yahoo.com, u will see queenstown exchange, den some msia location, then china n finally www.yahoo.com server in california if i neber remember wrongly
tats why i say he cant ID u to your exact location, because only ur ISP has it,n that is also thru ur username...
moreover ur IP address is dynamic, which means its different everytime u login
tell him to go fark spider, if he can do it, he shld make an appointment wif bill gates for job interview -

Its very unlikely impossible and probably fake lor... most probably he sees your msn or profile which you had put your address... like last time I know this girl who didn't know she actually put her address and HP no. on her ICQ... then everyone says about it... haha... then she realise too late all the funny people msg her... anyway.... unless he is a pro hacker which able to hack your address from your ISP which is unlikely they would it the record online that way... and he has to do it within the short period of time between you connect and disconnet.... else its next to impossible... he probably see it somewhere else or likely he got it from someone or trying to fake and scare you.
Or else maybe he own starhub or singtel or pac net... but if that is the case you wouldn't be worry about him getting your address.... but worrying if he is interested in you or not... -
You can't do that unless u can get access to users' activities/particulars db in the various ISPs.
That's why a court order needs to be issued in order for the cybercrime unit/police etc to be able to get the full details of the users from the ISPs. FBI themselves can't know too, they have to check with the various ISP for more details.
If you say it can be done, then you watch too much show already. The internet is not anonymous because authorized party can get hold of users' information should there be a need for it (through ISPs of course). But other than that, no other way unless you can hack into ISPs db or ur too good in social engineering lol -
i ask my frd bout this...... he works in IBM....he says tats not possible....but... it is not impossible too....ip address is only jus a prototool or in simple a access key to www.....ip address is a ID of many millions of ppl in www
its jus like u havin a ID card to identify urself...
so he said he noes ur ip address doesnt mean tat he also noe ur address...unless he's an CIA or FBI....coz u will need a number highly train hackers wif tracing knowledge....a supercom...satellite....a passcode...
normal hacking tools r jus not sufficent enuff to get into address codes.....
but then again its not impossible....
