I was expecting Zhang Xueling rather than Tay Pern Fen to play. After all, she was the star of the last SEA Games
Anyway, never really rated Li Jiawei highly. She is prone to concentration lapses, and has always managed to throw away matches that she could have won. Not that she could have win tonight;s match anyway, but I was expecting her to play against the China top seed, rather than play in the second match.
Maybe its time to let Zhang Xueling and Sun Beibei step up. -

Jiawei certainly didn't perform that well.. didn't really like her anyway.
BTW, three of our SG players are, matter of facts, Chinese nationals.
The problem I see during the games, especially against the North Koreans, is that our Chinese player are inflexiable... they played defensive, while the DPRK switched to offensive mid-game, and thereafter, gained points rapidly. Our SG players, especially Jiawei couldn't take to the assualt, but still didn't respond accordingly or are ill trained in that aspect.
Only, Sun Beibei did so, but only at mid game... and see how she won.
China rightly owned our China borned players.... -

our expectation from FTs are to win gold n do us proud rite? when they cannot get wat we ask for, wat for we give them citizenship n make sg more crowded n sinkable.
sg should forget about sports as we r too dependable on FTs. -

Win or lost not my business, the players are not Singapore citizen. We just buy them over. I really wish that we can shift our expenses from there to other area such as helping the poor.
