  Okay, I'm organising a farewell party for my friend (actually its that friend asked to organise one)because of some family problem that he has to leave the country for awhile. Beforehand my friends say until wu leng wu hor. They said that on whatever day, they sure go one.
  
  Then two days ago, I asked them to confirm a date. All the sudden, one got work cannot take leave, another got study, another insist want it on that day which most people cannot make it.
  
  Why like that one sia. ccb.
  
  Anyway i ask you all, what will you feel when your farewell party is celebrated on the same day and time with another friend's birthday. Do you think its appropriate or not ah?

  Depends on the individual... whether the birthday person minds getting his limelight stolen / having the celebratory mood dampened by a friend's pending departure...
  
  But I would discourage putting the two together.

  haha. wu leng wu hor. reminds me of something. anyway, i dont think a farewell party and a birthday should be held at the same time. birthday is supposed to be a happy occasion. farewell party sure got some people sad if they are good friends. then 1 sad 1 happy, sure will dampens each other spirit 1.
