Erm... I had a girl I'm interested in that said the same thing... I took it to mean this is a non-exclusive dating situation. You still can go out with other girls while she can do the same with boys.

lying to yourself is not going to help in a BG R/S, if she doesn't wanna take that next step you should just respect her decision and remains as friend..tell her, when the person that she is seeing now dun wanna see her anymore you'll be ard to see her...
