  How can I preserve the battery life of my hp?

  first charge should be 8 to 10hours
  do not overcharge
  
  charge oni when it's fully drained
  
  use desktop chargers if possible

  lithium-ion is different liao. u can use out of the box except heavy duty ones like laptop batt which needs to be drained than charged again for calibration.
  
  best is to re-charge at 40% capacity. draining a Li-ion battery often is no good....

  My new n73 really very weird
  
  After the very 1st charge it had full battery for the whole day.
  
  Then on the next day(today) the battery started to drain very quickly, dropping from full battery to 2.5 out of 8 bars.
