Child sex is not accepted in Japan neither is it as prominent as say Philipines or Indonesia. Scat is not prominent in Japan either, not as much as in European countries at least. Most of the underground porn in Japan is produced in Western countries to go about Japan's laws.
Perversion in Japan is not hidden, it's part of their culture as is their graceful society. They are not shy about it, the reason why we feel they're putting up a front is because they hide it away from foreign eyes to prevent discrimination.
Personally I support the take of them making their AV industry mainstream, just as how Singapore tries to make Prostitution legal. Because regardless of what we do, such things will exist why not make it upfront so that the people working in it are less likely to get exploited. Once there are laws, such things can be kept within control.
Nontheless, there will always be people who rather go about things illegally. Like how they "import" workers to Geylang to spoil our local market. -
