http://boards.gamefaqs.com/gfaqs/genmessage.php?board=263&topic=249524453. What you shouldnÂ’t post:
Things that you donÂ’t have backing for. Really, doing a bit of research goes a long way towards getting people to take you seriously.
DonÂ’t quote your religious text like itÂ’s the only thing that matters (unless both parties believe that the religious text is correct and in the same way). Take into account whether the person believes in that text or not. If the other party/person doesn't believe in the Bible, for example, quoting the Bible will go nowhere in the argument.
DonÂ’t ever quote sites that are blatantly wrong, for example chick.com, unless youÂ’re parodying them (which, of course, should be kept to a minimal anyhow).
4. What you should post:
Claims that you have proof for.
Things that you think other people would find interesting.
Your own ideas, so long as you present them as your own ideas and not fact.
Interesting observations you have noticed. And by interesting, we don’t mean “Like the Muslims worship a moon god” because that’s not interesting, that’s a lie and trolling.
Do post quotes from your religious text while explaining why you believe something, provided that you arenÂ’t offering the quotes as complete and total universal truth.
5. How to avoid making people mad:
Be honest. State your opinions, but try not to be a jerk about them.
Use correct spelling and grammar to the best of your ability. If you suck at them, at least make an effort, because honestly, no one likes to read “yea i know it sounds crzy but i think th calthoix are evilz”
DonÂ’t be a troll. Really, it is fun to bait people, especially on matters of religion, and some of us are guilty of doing it from time to time, but if youÂ’re only here to be a jerk, and not to improve your understanding of why other people believe differently then you do, please donÂ’t post.
