Laser gang keep their winnings
Police said three gamblers who used a James Bond-style laser device to win over £1million ($2.5million) at a London hotel casino did nothing illegal.
The trio who pulled off the audacious coup at the Ritz using gadgetry on March 16 to calculate where a roulette ball would land have been informed that no further action will be taken and they will be allowed to keep their winnings.
ItÂ’s been alleged a Hungarian woman aged 32, along with two Serbian men, aged 33 and 38 smuggled a laser scanner inside a mobile phone that was linked to a micro-computer into the casino. The scanner measured the speed of the ball as it was released by the croupier, identified where it fell and measured the declining orbit of the wheel.
Having reduced their odds of winning from 37-1 to 6-1, the trio placed bets on all six numbers in the section where the ball would definitely end up. They won £100,000 on the first night before returning the next night to win £1.2million. -
I think if you do that in Singapore it is illegal...

If your friend can build one device like that, he won't be in NUS in the first place. NUS funds are low for this sort of things.

don copycat them lar, this ploy is already exposed. Ask your NUS friend to come up with something better so that the odds of winning is also higher.
