Parents robbed in Johor yesterday...

  my teachers fren who drive some ex car..i think RX7 or 8..drove to malaysia stop for 30min to drink kopi after that car gone..

  Sry to hear abt that.. there's just so many of these cases - it's shocking!
  
  My fiance's relatives live in KL and they all keep saying we have to take extra care if we ever visit Johor especially since we're Singaporean / Chinese.. My fiance and I might have to head down there to get a couture wedding gown next year though.. we'll be on high alert.

  Well, I know of two people who had their Lexus RX 300 stolen from carparks.

  sad, maybe they need to teach what to do in such cicumstances when pple learn driving too instead of some of the advance/basic theory material

  It is the same in Indonesia n I stayed there for a year. The crime situation in Indonesia is more jialat than Malaysia.

  Yah man, I used to know a friend whose brother runs a gang in Thailand. Since Thaksin went on board, they have moved their operation to Malaysia. Apparently the Thai anti-crime is getting better than the malaysians.
  
  Nowadays many domestic/regional/international crime ring operate from Malaysia. Malaysia is the biggest exporter of pirated cd/vcd/dvds. I went to HongKong last year, the vcd seller told me their imports were 'fresh from Malaysia', not China.
  
  Malaysian police/securities were also part of several recent high profile crime. The only thing they do day-in-day-out, is to think of how to make more money from the side-line.

  Your mom had credit cards with her... why didnt she use it? Any Tom Dick or Harry would know if a contractor doesnt accept credit cards, he or she is not credible enough to be "Reliable".

  1) $20000 cash on hand
  2) Singapore car
  3) Spoilt central lock
  
  Asking for trouble are you not? Sorry but i dont pity you and your family. You guys deserved to be robbed. Because you did not even exercise common sense while you were in the city
  
  And then after all that incident you guys come home cry mummy and make such a big Hoo Haa.. warning everyone not to go JB...
  
  Even if I know where you are in in any other part of the world besides Singapore, and you have $20000 cash on hand, I would have hired a local professional to rob you too.
  
  Play your cards well and be prepared well before your trip.
  
  Everytime I go JB, I wear jeans, black t-shirt, sandals, cheap HP, and an empty bag. For precaution I bring a jack knife hooked onto my keys.. No watches or jewellery... Anything more you really deserve to get robbed.
