Just now, i decided to get dinner qat a fast food joint at west mall andsince my ez-link card had no cash left, i had to resort to biking to the destination.
Once i got there, mny spectacles just had to slip off, with one of the lens dislodged and lost, searched a long while but to no avail, the help of a kind chinese "auntie" didn't help either.
And since i did not bring my handphone, i still had to alrt my parents somehow and so i had to resort to borrowing phones from passers-by, but alas....
One malay auntie was kind enough to stop to listen to my request but i guess, due to the recent spate of handphone snatch cases, walked away quickly(i doubt i look like a crook though, bike was beside me), with a brief "no sorry", then, i approached another guy who didn't even bother to listen, and later a teen(probably) couple who looked at me like i was some alien

and walked away, lastly, there was a china chinese couple who actually bothered to stop, listen, but did not bring their phone, but directed me to the pay phones.(So, you cannot discriminate against nationality and keep the stereotype that prc chinese are crude etc)
Sadly, i couldn't locate my lenses, so i just bought my dinner and rode home with limited sight( 5 meters range, 800 degree eyesight) and instinct.
Unfortunate it may be, but this shows me that i cannot discriminate between people of different races/religion, but the behaviour of one of us locals still leaves a rather bitter aftertaste....
Moving on, single lens bloke on the red bike, seow.
