I passed my probation. But I was not given a minor pay increment.
Can someone tell me what is the best reason for pay increment after probation? -

some companies dont give increment after probation. it depends on your agreement with the company when they offered you the job.
did they promise you one? -
Take heart. It could be that you had already been offered a high starting pay so that despite completing your probation, you dun get that pay adjustment lor.
Try not to sweat over this episode. It could be that the boss is trying to test your character. Just focus your mind on performing well in your work. If you prove that you are good, there's no reason why your pay will not eventually be adjusted....

Ask politely to ur boss or ur HR, dun kpkb to the HR, otherwise hor, u will nt get any penny at all

Its dependant on company policy and etc... See your agreement and terms of employment... if it didn't state anythign like tat... then too bad.... you should have check before you went for the job... if not ask for it...

give your HR the letter of increment telling them how much you are to be given and from when.

if the person who interviewed u offered u a salary of say $1800. there will be 2 scenarios.
A) u start your probabtion with a lesser salary then after probabtion u get increase to $1800 as promised.
B) u start your probabtion with the $1800 promised salary. there will be no further increase.
so which is yours? -

Well , I was offered a high pay. but i wanted a bit more.
Or should I not ask since there will be a pay revision in coming April next year. I realise if I ask now that means there will be double apy revision for me?

If you work for an MNC, government related agency/institution, or the government , you should be able to figure it out through your letter of employment which covers your salary conditions. If they don't state that you will have a pay increment, you don't get one. I doubt you get double pay revision.Originally posted by wahomy:Sorry for the late replies

Mine is incremental by 3.5% every year based on satisfactory performance report and I have it written into my contract. And that increment will follow me, as specified in the contract, if I chose to compete for higher positions until I hit senior executive level. -
