Tuggy
This happened in March this year, during my CCA Camp. Am an instructor for a uniform group, so the cadets slept on the 2nd floor on one wing, while us (instructors) slept on the same floor, opposite wing facing the cadets' rooms.
As usual...during such camps, we'll do the usual of posting sentries at the main gate, back gate and a pair of prowlers. so all in all, there are three pairs of sentries, all issued with walkie talkies and also us the instructor room/ops room also have a walkie talkie there. There were 4 of us senior instructors that night, and i was the so called "DO". Camps being camps,one of the junior instructors brought his PS2 and we were playing, while the others are either chatting or trying to get some shut-eye. As I was the DO, I slept in 1/2 uniform, at about 3+, got a message from the prowlers that they heard some noise.
So together with one other guy, we went to check it out, I had a drop bag strapped to my left thigh and proceeded to the corridor where they reported hearing the sounds.Went to investigate, turned out, it was the firehose's tap properly turned off, so there was a "hissing" sound of the water leaking out. The two of us then went back to the ops room, while on the way back, my fellow instructor needed to use the restroom, so we made a stop there, he went it, while i waited outside. The school is mostly dark except for the ops room and the ground floor lights. As the sound was reported on the 4th floor, we stopped at the 4th floor toilets while on the way back. While i was outside, i had my back facing the toilet door and was looking out towards the staff room. That was when i felt a tug on my thigh bag. It was a sudden tug, like somebody calling for your attention. So i turned, thinking my friend was done. But he was still inside. I wasn't spooked at this point, so I sat on the stairs, back still facing the toilet door, there came another tug, this time more violently, and it was repeated tug. I stood up and stretched, asking my friend if he was ready. At that time, he came out and was sheet white. He ran back to the ops room and kept to himself in a corner, i followed behind, intending to question him.
"Oei, why you run out? Siao ah?"->Me
"Sir, you never see somebody beside you?"->Cadet Instructor
"No, why?"->Me
"There was a kid pulling your bag, and holding a ball, like asking you to play with him"->Cadet Instructor
At this point, my balls were in my mouth, and the others had gathered, when I confronted him. But I was still skeptical, so my fellow senior instructor asked him, if thats the case, where's the kid now. He told us the kid was on the cadet's wing, standing on the parapet, and walking, waving at us. By that time, the group of 12 of us turned on music and sat together, backs facing the window, not daring to look out and just chit-chatted through the night.
