anyone knows how can i add a new name to my IC ? i heard from somewhere that it costs quite a lot right?

you mean legally changing your name? think you have to change under a judge in court or somewhere, with some witnesses

nope , not changing my name , only add a english name in. and yes legally , is it that troublesome ? LOL

You need to do a deed poll which costs from 80 to 100+. Can google online to find some law firms or consultants that provide such service.
After which, you need to go to SIR to change your IC. Which cost another 60. -

TS: Need to be above 21 to change yourself. Otherwise, parent's approval or something. -

I wonder why idiots try to add English names to it when they only have a miserable chinese name like li yao dong, or chen guan qin, or some names which you have no idea if it's a male or a female. pathetic! either their parents are not highly-educated or they want their children to be mocked at.

actually chinese are unique ma, adding eng is quite common, but ok la, easier for ppl to remember.
