err..how do u all study secondary school chem?
i got headache from studying chem lo..reading the book..absorb..memorise terms..load of assesment..but i still cant get it right n only got a 47/100 for my EOY..next year O lvl i wan cry le..help.. -
just memorise.

i dunno y leh, i just can't get some of the chemistry topics right....
for e.g, balancing equation(starting to hav problems) then theres this ionic equation with the (aq) thingy and also the color changes etc....its making me confused! -
No worries,just try to connect everything together and it will make sense
To balance equations,just ensure that both side have the same number of elements
Colour,you have to find a way to remember it
(Aq) is just to show that it is dissolved in a solvent,in this case,water
Some reaction requires the reactants to be in water before it can partake in any chemical reactions -

no need balance equations la.. only worth that miserable half a mark..
go understand why some reaction works that way.. and remember all those funny test like iodine for starch etc.. or when hydrogen gives pop sound when placed with a lighted splint.. that sort of thing always ask

i am actually confused on some of the symbols, why some after reaction have superscript and some have sub script.
and the reactions is the worst and i dunno why, just can't rmb it

O Levels no need to worry so much lah. After mid year, the teachers should be giving the students a lot of practice papers (other schools' prelims, past year papers etc.) and also, if you hard working, then do your TYS. Sure can make it one. I got a friend, Chemistry from F9 to A2 leh. No need so scared lah. -
