I read the following and surprised that actually Saddam does quite abit mordernising Iraq... providing free education, industrialise the country and provide free health care..... He did what was right actually for his country's survival to invade kuwait... if not for the oil... USA and British will never intervene....
The american's media and bush make saddam looks like a blood sucking dictator... in a way he is rutheless etc... but he has his share of contributions too...

I dont think that it's a question of money or whether it's a big part of the consideration.
I was more curious towards their ideology and what they want to achieve by invading Iraq.
Bush, Cheney, they are rich, people think they do it for money and get richer, but neocons span many people, some of whom are not rich, they hold a certain ideology, a certain way of thinking.
I still dont understand why they invade Iraq. I remember one of them, if Im not wrong Wolfwowitz, who say Iraq is a place where 3 factors meet. It was a pretty good peek into their mind, but I forget what he said.
