how old to learn piano?

anyone here has a grade 8? and how old did you start learning piano?
haiz i think im too old to start learning, fingers getting stiff liao.

I started teaching myself to play the keyboard six months ago.
Progress has been slow - Right now I can only play 'Mary Had a Little Lamb'.
And yeah, you're never too old to learn - it's all about your level of commitment and dedication to learning, rather.

now sight read very bad and fingers oso stiff -
As long as got $$, got time, and got patient. Any age also can learn.

Can someone recommend some good books to pick up keyboard or piano?
I really would like to try to pick them up again as well as train my year old neice for the next 3 months. -

i held a grade 8 before. and started learning at age 3. nv too late to start though, want to learn, do it now!

started learning when i was 6.
completed grade 8 in sec 3.
havent played anything proper since then...
dont think can even pass sight reading grade 5 now...
BUT!
i know someone who is 60 and has just picked up piano
not doing TOO badly
so yeah...if you are interested in it, go learn -

almost every post seems to point towards 'learn piano when young'.
consulted my parents abt it and they say "huh learn piano for wat? so old liao! last time small ask you to learn you dun want, see lah see lah!"
i think i have to erase my thoughts on learning piano....
maybe im not determined enough, but i think it's better to put the time and effort to learn other more tangible stuff instead...

you're never too old to learn. yamaha has adult piano courses. you should give it a try if you're really interested! -
Started at 5, finished Grade 8 at 14.
As long as you have the passion, go for it! -
there are piano classes for adults
dun have to be hindered by age
if u relli have the interest, just go for it
dun even need to take exams or wat......learn for fun oso can mah -

Actually its much faster because adults should be able to take in more information at a faster rate and their fingers are also longer than childrens one too. Stiffness can occur in adults and children too, due to lack of playing. By having more practices, this problem can be easily ovecome.
so how? anyone want piano lessons? very cheap rate... -
are you learning to play piano as a leisure or as a career? if you are playing for fun, dont have to achieve such a high grade to play a decent song. keep practising and you will find your fingers more agile as time goes by.
