How to choose good Cable Modem?

I'm a 3rd year Maxonline user, my Cable Modem just spoiled, now looking for new one, but not sure how to choose.
Please help! -

I always thought it was always only between motorola, motorola, motorola, and motorola, coz that's all starhub has. I also dunno how your modem can spoil, mine's in use for close to 6 years and no replacement. -

Me using the Samsung modem from StarHub... Performance not bad, still reliable after four years...

The best brand is still motorola.. but however, motorola is not the only brand of cable modem which starhub approved... as far as i know, samsung cable modem can also be used...
