Why do all Singaporeans i meet have a bleak view of NUS?

  i cant go NUS because i am local..
  
  sigh...i apply so many times, all kenna rejected..
  
  but then also good lah, at least now i have a stable job, else i would be slogging 4 years everyday just to get a cert for an uncertain future..

  I am from NUS, and I think NUS is overrated cra.p (then again which big organisation in Singapore isn't?), but the world isn't black and white. Why do you have to polarise it such that people only come from NUS or not? There are so many colleges in the world.

  I'm in NUS, and I'm not that overtly impressed with the quality of education overall. Having said that, some aspects of research in South East Asian affairs are quite competent, but I'm not too sure about the other faculties. Still, barring the 19th world ranking crap, it's just another place to study, play a bit, and hopefully graduate with something above base respectability.
