
Rajnikant's 'Sivaji' to be dubbed in Japanese

Odori Maharajah's new movie described as a "techno-punk thriller" slated for 2007. it will be directed Shankar who made the hugely successful 2005 action thriller "ANNiyan. The music for the movie will be by AR Rahman who also incidentally did three of the Maharajah movies in the 1990s.

Sivaji , incidentally, will be the third Rajni movie to be dubbed into Japanese language. Two of his earlier flicks like "Muthu" and Chandramukhi have also been dubbed into Japanese.
And both the dubbed versions did phenomenal business in Japan, according to the grapevine. It may be mentioned that Rajni also has fan clubs in Japan.
So much so that in Baba , Rajni even had a Japanese actress play a cute cameo.
The decision to dub "Sivaji" in Japanese has been taken obviously to cash in on the superstar's immense popularity in Japan.
