recruit express and other recruitment agencies

Hey ppl, i wanna ask if recruit express is a reputable company. I'm supposed to go down to the orchard branch in ngee ann city during this weekend and want to ask some questions:
*how reliable are such job agencies cos i heard of ppl kena conned by them
*can those who've been to the orchard branch of recruit express pls kindly share their experiences?
*i'm supposed to go down there and register myself there and let them find out more about me...but i saw some threads of ppl complaining that it's a waste of time as they asked what should have already been provided in the resume
*what terms and conditions and other details students seeking for jobs thru such agencies have to look out for?
Hope to hear form you guys soon...i'm trying to look for holiday jobs before my enlistment in april but seems like i bo pian have to do it thru an agency for a part-time temp job : ( Anyone have a good job agency or agent to recommend? thanks! -
yes, i've got jobs thru recruit express.
they are v strong at part time jobs
think its e same everywhere, its jus a SOP to get to know e canidate better.
its after seeing u, tat they know how to 'sell' u better, and help u to have a higher chance to get the job. cos afterall, they know e client better. e.g helping u in giving u tips on how to handle e interview.
i've been to e ngee ann one before, and got myself a job at starhub.
it's reputable.
however, also have to depends on ur luck, see wat kind of clients they have at hand, and whether it suits u. -
oh...but do you have to pay any fees to like register or when they hook u up to an assignment successfully? i know that they will take their fee from the employer directly but got any other hidden charges/fees?

I never like to go agencies.. the pay is so little.. they took away 1/3 of yr wages..

Haven start your job, they already kapok some of your actual pay liao. It is better to find yourself or through your friend's lobang.I wouldn't go near to these agencies without a ten foot pole

step into recruit express at ur own risk.
first, they ask bo liao questions and even ask what ur bf/gf working as and how long is ur relationship. as if it concerns them.
then after they finalise u with a company, they will need u to pay $50 or $54, as they call it a registration fee or recommendation fee. wth,
over the phone, say no fees at all, after got u a job offer, then ask u to pay. making it almost not likely for anyone to reject paying right, since they are jus one step away from the job.
in nice terms, i would call them a scammer agency.
i have heard of better agencies. -

they gave me the starhub job...which is quite high pay compared to other jobs the other agencies recommeded me...

last time got a job from them, got cheate for about $100. initially more, after argue wif them 4 a fewtime. then lower 2 $100. by that time , i so sian liao. jus forget it

Agreed that you should approach Recruit Express at ur own risk.. many of the interviewers are not at all famiilar with the industries and jobs their clients are offering and will often ask stupid questions / make stupid comments. They are, however, very good at getting you entry-level temp/part time jobs.
I interviewed 4 times for the same job at Recruit. The 1st 3 times I went, the place was chaotic.. the overly made up female interviewers asked me all sorts of odd questions. The 4th time, I got lucky and spoke directly with an assistant manager.. once he heard my phone voice, he got me an interview, asked the right questions, and sent me straight to Starhub. I got the job and became a star performer.
However after I changed jobs, I realised that the pay was actually considered below average for call centre jobs of that nature/workload.. Recruit deducted a large portion of my salary each month.
I have, however, had good experiences with Adecco (they fought for my friend's rights when her employer tried to twist around the contract), GMPrecruit and Kelly Services. They're very professional, and they offer serious jobs with decent pay. I got my current job thru GMP, drawing above average pay for this job/industry and very happy indeed.

i rem reading the 50 dollar clause of the contract last time at RE
so i insist nt signing up until the clause is remove
plus the clause incluse wad cannot quit at free will and must work like a certain period or u be required to pay them

manpower staffing best...no need pay or go dwn sign tings...
i gt my job thru there...i dun even c my agent..onli tok to her on fone nia...
so fan bian..no need go dwn sign simi or pay simi fees or hw many % of ur pay -

The only agency that ask you money, even the job is not guaranteed one! They are blood-sucker lah...
