Italy bans walking skeletons as models

It's a great thing. They have banned excessively skinny women from being fashion models.
If a model is deemed to be "too skinny", she'd need a doctor's certification that she's not suffering from any health or eating disorder.
This is after a couple of models died from anorexia and were found that their BMI was very very dangerously low.
So, back to the full-bodied healthy-looking voluptous ladies.
And no more ugly bags of antlers.
... about time!! -

the news is so last month but I'm glad they ban those anorexic models from the runway. They just set the wrong trend to young girls these days that being ultra skinny is beautiful. -

it's kinda no choice for these shinny models, cause most of the time the outfit are made in such a way that it requires a certain size to get in and display the full beauty of the outfit and thus they got no choice to be shinny to make sure they get the assignments

in fact, singapore should just remove at least 50% of the slimming ads around

I do know of a model friend of mine who was pressurised into losing weight even though she was well within the ideal range. She didn't even look plump, but they still demanded that she lose weight.
Eventually she became an exercise freak and became bulimic. She would gorge on lots of food at one go and puke it all out.
Finally, she left the modelling industry and sought help for her bulimia. Now she's finally learning to eat and exercise properly. -
I never really liked those anorexic models. Women should have curves, not angles.
