  when you have a number with singtel 91234567 and you wanted to cross over to starhub can you retent your number and use in starhub.....
  and not to have another number obtain from starhub no top of your singtel no.??

  most probably they will charge a fee.. one time or monthly, u have to ask them.
  
  me from starhub cross over to M1.. get a much nicer number from M1 and gg to terminate the starhub one soon.

  IDA has already passed the policy of number retention to the existing telcos, changes should take effect late next year.

  i thought number retention is known as call forwarding? the new telco ask you choose new number, and when people dial your old one, it gets forwarded to the new number phone?
  
  or now is really real retention?
  
  anyway, M1 now really expensive.. the airtime charges expensive and the given min utes based on off-peak rates etc..
  
  MMS still 84c and charged seperately
  worse of all, video call is 15cents.. no care if free incoming or not

  dun use so much lor.
  
  at starhub, i got one month free 100 min outgoing also wun use even half of it..
  
  i spend more on sms nia.. sms alone can exceed up to $25 per mth.
  
  and i get incoming free plan.
  
  the extra things that i pay are those value added services lor.
  
  i juz signed up nia..
  
  wait till i get my M1 bill then I tell u which one is more expensive huh.
  
  But then hor, if you think you are paying more, then perhaps u might want to change a price plan to suit your usage.
