Scope, well is scope, like the area of the area you are investigating. Eg. Topic is "chio bu", scope would be "behaviour of chio bu in front of rich guys". So you won't touch on other stuff about chio bu such as the clothes they wear or what.
Method of inquiry is how you are going to verify your research. Eg. survey 100 chio bus, survey 100 rich guys. Observation in a club with chio bus and rich guys.
Something like that lah.
