This question is for those ppl who have a religion that disapproves of killing any living thing.
Picture this : You are a soldier fighting a war and you are (for example) a Christian. Will you shoot and kill the enemy soldiers or will you refuse to shoot the enemy soldiers and get shot?
Coz if you shoot, then you have sinned, but if you don't, you DIE!!
I'll probably dig a hole and hide

In times of a real war and ur on the battlefield fighting for ur life..u will let religion come into the pic? Dats real dangerous,i fear for ur teammates. wat if u spare ur enemy's life and assuming he oso does not shoot u but kills ur teammate instead? How??

methinks that if Singapore ever goes to war, our enemies will definitely use religion as a rallying cry ....
so both sides will have fun killing in the name of their respective gods .... -
Shoot of course. I mean who cares. Some wars are fight in the name of gods(Crusades, Jihad, Ancient Greek Wars, etc) after all.

Self defence is forgiveable. Defending one's nation is also forgiveable.
In the battle , you have to kill or be killed. -

they shoot they accumalated negative karma, they dun shoot and get shot they get reincarnated and if become soldier again...the reincarnation continues.
