  The water level was 3 feet high at one point at my workplace during the peak of the floods.
  
  The current was strong enough to kill anyone. Some idiot from Public Utilities Board decided to release the excess water from reservoirs into the canals just in time to coincide with the heavy rain.
  
  Guess where I work.
