Enquiry abt china square central

hello forumities, l am going to buy a figurine from the china square central at chinatown tml..
And l hope of getting sum advice at here before going and make a purchase of the figurine at the shops over there...l am going there to buy a figurine which costs ard $120...and it is my 1st time going there to buy
so decided to seek sum help from forumities at here who noe abt figurines and models here...
l want to noe..whether isit reliable to buy things at tere..such as whether tey gt tamper or open the figurines and then putting it back to the box and reselling as new, whether the prices there are overpriced? And wad do u tink abt the shops there...
Any things can teach me to tk note or wad..when l go there tml?

actually i know nothing la.. im curious nia. -
l guess it is that xpensive becos the figurine has been released quite long and is very rare bah...and that figurine is from maxfactory which l tink is kinda well known.. and l hav gone to a few sites and check the price liao...the price of that figurine is already 100+ when it was produced..Originally posted by browniebaobao:what figurine is that?

A month back..l hav been watching the guyver anime series and seriously l was quite fascinated by it...haha, and so after finish watching the anime..l decided to look for the figurines...went to a few sites to understand more abt their figurines..saw the figurines were really very nice...and sumhow feel in love with it...so l decided to buy and collect them and display in my room... -

haiyo y every ppl like mistaken that place ah..l went there once last week, to see see...inside the mall..is all models and figurines..no antiques leh..maybe antiques refers to those old figurines and models..
haha, and beside ito_^ l want to tell u..l hav no so much $ for REAL ANTIQUES and that stupid horse u put is so ugly...l will get terrible nightmare by having it place in my room

$120..really saved quite long siah....at last l can buy it le, so happy =D -

at the figurine expo, u may have pay thousands 4 a figurine -

Actually l dun mind paying the $120 for the things l like...but my parents are very angry abt it...saying that l wasting $ buying useless things, and keep telling me not to buy it..l up to now still having cold wars with them siah..
haiz..dun understand abt them..the $ is come out my pockets de..and summore l like it mah..l dun c y they shld stop me from buying...and summore l believe l buy things that l like and owning them is better than having a gf mah.. -
Why don't you try the various shops on Level 2? I'm there about 5-6 times a month and I usually patronise Ng's Collections.

He's pretty infamous among toy collector community simply because he is what we call a "scalper"
Here is an example of a scalping in progress:
Taka usually has a few toy sales every year. And even the coolest toys get a massive discount.
So once a high priced collectible toy discounted as much as 80% off
He swoops in and buys the entire stock!
Then goes to his little shop and resells it at a higher price.
Apart from him ruining CSC, the rest of the toy shops and weekend sellers are awesome.
