They uses ROV(remotely operated vehicles) and uses high tech ultra-sound machines to find it, similar to those used to check/inspect metal welds, or maybe they use sonar, powerful enough to penetrate the seabed.By using ultra-sound for example, sound waves travels thru the seabed and if it hits an object, the sound wave is reflected and an image is formed, as seen by different clolours and shape. For example, the seabed will be represented by orange or brown and red colour, whereas the cables detected will be coloured as blue or green. Or maybe they use those offshore oil and gas technologies used to pin point the exact location of the gas and oil pockets. ROVs were used to bring up the cables and also help the divers manage the cables that's out of reach from humans.Originally posted by ditzy:In this case, its like finding a needle in a haystack. Volunteer yourself in the pacific oceans in place of the ROVs.Originally posted by madhardy4:I am so frustrated by the slow connection speeds and I can't access most of the websites...
Just hope the cable repairs will be finished asap.
